Based in Northbrook, IL, Ride or Die Equestrian Shop is an online tack and apparel store serving adult amateur riders and their horses across the United States and Canada. We specialize in high-quality, performance-driven riding apparel, safety equipment and horse needs for Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, and Eventing riders, with a strong focus on fit, comfort, and durability.Ā  As avid equestrians who ride, show and attempt to balance life (precariously) ourselves, we live to offer the best in honest, helpful, non-pushy service for our customers. We are a rapidly growing business with lots of online orders that require thoughtful picking, packing and shipping. This is a position that offers the opportunity to grow with the business beyond the current need.

Position Overview

We are currently looking for a WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE who can join us part-time Monday, Weds, Thu for approximately 24 hours per week.

This is a role that requires product knowledge, excellent organization, and extreme accuracy. While primarily working with the online side of the business, pulling and packing orders, this does require a keen dedication to "getting it right" for our customers and providing excellence in service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage our incoming online orders, prep packing slips, products and pack efficiently for shipment, coordinate pick ups with our shipping partners
  • Manage inventory intake and product returns - marking all ins/outs in our systems to maintain accuracy
  • Collaborate with team in maintaining effective stock levels, alerting to stock outs, and optimizing workflows
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming warehouse space
  • Coordinate special orders and custom orders as needed with Ride or Die Team


Qualifications

  • References required
  • Comfort working with Google Cloud - drive, folders, GoogleSheets
  • Familiarity with equestrian apparel, tack, horse gear and safety equipment strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort with worfklows such as building shipping boxes, packing orders, using tracking and shipping software, printing slips, writing notes - without forgetting the details
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to learn, optimize and improve on existing processes and systems
  • Team-oriented, punctual, with a positive, professional attitude at all times
  • Must be 18 or older with consistent, reliable transportation - work days are consistently Mon, Wed, Thu with opportunity to pick up more hours during our busy seasons (Black Friday, pre-holiday, Spring)

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Familiarity with shipping software like Pirate Ship, Shippo or EasyShip or ShipStation
  • Experience with backend of Shopiffy
  • Knowledge of riding apparel brands in the Hunter/Jumper world
  • Drivers License and reliable daily vehicle transportĀ
